Do you want to be part of a growing team of specialists providing central support to an established and growing multi academy trust?

Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the Assistant Management Accountant will provide high quality support to the finance team to help drive business performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for an AAT qualified (level 4) or part qualified accountant working towards their accountancy qualification to join the team at Create Central Finance Team in the next phase of its development. The post-holder will be involved in all aspects of management and financial accountancy and assist with the production of

 statutory accounts.

The role:

To provide support to the Finance Team

Support in the oversight of the financial procedures within the Trust

Support in the management of financial planning of the Trust by assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets for all establishments

Support in the administration and management of Grants and Projects for the Trust

Prepare month-end reports and assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for presentation to the Finance and Operations Manager

To support the strategic decision making of the Finance and Operations Manager and Head Teachers through accurate and timely financial analysis

To contribute to the year-end accounts preparatory work

Contribute to the maintenance of the Trust’s fixed asset register

Responsibility for the reconciliation of payroll reports

To resolve queries in relation to all areas of the Trust’s finances

To attend meetings on behalf of the finance manager

Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall ethos and aims of the Trust This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
