Salary: £20,541 - £23,866 pro rata

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to be an integral part of our busy Housing Solutions team.
You will be responsible for interviewing and advising clients at risk of homelessness or in housing need, so wherever possible homelessness is prevented and the Council can effectively discharge its duty in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. You will also carry out full assessments of clients’ housing and support needs to complete Personal Housing Plans.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the needs of clients with a professional and non-judgemental attitude.
If you are customer focused with strong communication skills and have the ability to give advice and answer queries relating to housing and homelessness then consider applying to Hereford Councils Housing Solutions Team for this role.
You should have experience of working in a busy and pressurised role. Knowledge of the relevant homelessness legislation is essential, and experience of partnership working would be desirable. This post will also work closely with various agencies throughout Herefordshire and the
West Midlands so experience of working with a varied client group would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Please note that this post is a fixed term position for 1 year.
