Sandwell’s Prevention Stores delivers / maintains / services equipment and assistive technology to enable the people of Sandwell to live as independently as they can within their home environment.
As an important front line service working alongside a range of Health & Social Care Services, we are looking to expand our pool of Warehouse Operatives who are responsible for a range of different functions within the service.
We have one post available to undertake the following tasks:
- Clean and maintain returned equipment
- Assist with the goods in and goods out process
- Ensure stock is available and assembled to be issued
- Assist members of the public and health care professionals in accessing and returning equipment
The service operates 7 days a week (standard hours) and successful candidates will be required to work on a rota basis with each post holder required to work one weekend in every five.
Sandwell Council will pay all of its employees the current Living Wage rate, as a minimum, from 1 April 2018. The decision to pay a Living Wage supplement will be reviewed on an annual basis.
