An exciting opportunity has arisen within the People Directorate of Warwickshire County Council to help improve the health and wellbeing of local people. The current challenge in public services is managing rising demand alongside continued reductions in funding. This requires us to constantly improve and change our ways of working.

The Public Health and Strategic Commissioning team is working to deliver projects in this area, in close collaboration with Coventry City Council and wider partners. 

The Role

£33,136 - £35,229
2 year fixed term contract

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Project Manager (2 year fixed term) to join our team in Public Health and Strategic Commissioning. The role will be responsible for managing and delivering projects to specified levels of time, budget and quality, to help improve the health and wellbeing of communities across Warwickshire. It will also ensure that change is managed effectively by leading and working with other relevant project teams within the business, and contribute on a wider scale to achieving the change aspirations of Warwickshire County Council.

The focus of this role will be primarily to support the People Group in the delivery of the One Organisational Plan 2020, the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, and supporting projects to help improve the health and wellbeing of the population across Warwickshire. 

Key Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of project management 

• Ability to effectively manage own workload and assist others in delivering outcomes in a challenging environment 

• Demonstrate an ability to think creatively, provide inventive solutions to problems and confidently take solutions forward for success. 

• A track record in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels through effective communication. 

• Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills with customers, staff, senior managers and external partners.

Knowledge or experience of working in health and/or care services and with partners would be beneficial.
