Public Health and Strategic Commissioning for Warwickshire County Council has a vacancy for a Public Health Learning and Development Support Officer to work as a member of a team empowering organisations including Acute Services, Primary Care and Community Services to support Health Improvement outcomes including reducing health inequalities, Make Every Contact Count implementation, Health Champions programme, Falls Prevention related training and others areas of development for the citizens of Warwickshire. 

The Role

£30,756 - £33,136
37 hours per week
18 month fixed term contract

A new opportunity to commission and deliver Learning and Development opportunities across sectors of the community to improve public health. You will share good practice and up to date knowledge to ensure learning is relevant and meaningful.

Aligning workforce learning and development to Warwickshire demographics and skill requirements to ensure there will be a capable, confident, competent and agile workforce, able to meet the demands of ever changing service delivery. 

Key Requirements

  • You need a good understanding and experience of commissioning services and learning and development. 

  • An understanding of public health.

  • You need to be organised, motivated, excellent communicator written and verbal, have good consultation skills and persuasive skills. 

  • You need to be flexible and be able to manage multiple projects at any one time.
