Birmingham Adult Education Service is a key part of Birmingham City Council's strategy to improve skills and to make sure that people of all ages can be proactively involved in our economic growth. We are a large learning provider operating form 11 main centres across the city. We provide a wide range of courses to post 16 learners - helping them to reach their personal/long-term goals and aspirations.

As part of the Learner Gateway, a new opportunity exists to work as part of the Learner Services Team liaising closely with colleagues within the Learner Services Team, Curriculum Staff, Business Support and partners to ensure learners gain access to work placements, work experience, work shadowing, work visits and voluntary opportunities, to enhance their career potential and help secure their ultimate destination goals.

Your role will be to support the programme of delivery from giving initial advice to course completion. Attention to detail is necessary; you will need to be self-motivated and able to work with a certain degree of independence. You will have good organisational skills, be able to prioritise competing demands, have a pro-active client focused attitude and excellent communication skills. You must hold Level 2 English, maths and IT.
