Horton Lodge School is looking to appoint two qualified, inspiring Teaching Assistants to join our strong and dedicated team.

Horton Lodge School is a Local Authority Special School for children aged 2-11years with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. Our students have a range of complex learning needs including cognitive, physical, sensory, emotional and health related disabilities. The posts involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis to achieve their potential in their learning, physical, independence and social skills.

The successful candidates will truly hold the pupils well-being and learning at the centre of all they do, have good interpersonal skills, high standards and expectations and an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities. A commitment to undertake training and implement new initiatives is required.

The two posts are-

* 15 hours a week (term time only, daily hours 9am – 12noon) Grade 5, fixed term until 22nd July 2019

* 25 hours a week (term time only, daily 9am – 2:30pm) Grade 5, temporary

The successful candidate will undertake duties detailed in Teaching Assistant Job Profile C1360 at Grade 5 term time only (SCP 16 – 20, £18,319 - £19,819 FTE).
