Salary Range: Grade 2/3; scp 11 – 24; £17,007 - £22,401 pro rata

Hours per week: Part time, 18.5 hours per week over 5 days plus 2.75 banked hours

At James Brindley School, we provide education for children and young people whilst they are in hospital or are unable to attend their mainstream school due to medical conditions or special educational needs. We teach across 12 sites including teaching centres and hospitals in Birmingham. We also provide a Short Term Provision for pupils unable to attend school for medical reasons.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrator to support our Short Term Provision and Transition Team, who has experience in busy administration environment and is willing to develop and learn. You will be able to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in writing, as you will be liaising with internal school departments, parents,

pupils and external agencies. You will have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people and the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and prioritise workloads.

As you will be creating and maintaining pupil records and well as entering information into school information management systems, experience of using Microsoft Office packages using database applications is essential. The ability to arrange appointments and meetings and to take minutes are also essential along with a good standard of education including A* - C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
