Learning Support Assistants - Sandwell Community School
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sandwell Community School for 3 permanent Learning Support Assistants to start as soon as possible.
Candidates must have the following skills and experience:-
- Worked with Secondary pupils with behavioural needs.
- An understanding of the National Curriculum and pupil progress.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the post.
If you can nurture and support individual students in the classroom, whilst having the flexibility and confidence to find different ways to help them engage with their learning then this could be the role for you.
The successful candidate needs to be confident, articulate and organised with good communication and IT skills and also enthusiastic about working with KS3 and KS4 pupils who have a range of complex issues and challenging behaviours. Previous experience of working with young people in a PRU environment is essential.
The post holder must also have the willingness and ability to travel to other campuses and schools within the borough to support the re-integration of young people or to attend meetings.
