Herefordshire Council
Head of Economic Development
£73,545 - £77,569 + £5,000 relocation package

Herefordshire Council continues to deliver against bold and ambitious growth plans and, by working with our local and national partners, improve the quality of life for the county’s residents, visitors and businesses.

We have already enabled the development of new economic activity and external investment to introduce better-paid jobs, new infrastructure to support economic growth and the provision of good quality affordable homes.

But we are not resting on our laurels. There is huge potential here; and with an Enterprise Zone, ambitious university growth plans and the creation of the Herefordshire Investment Partnership (HIP), the levers are in place to deliver further major schemes, jobs and the conditions for new businesses to thrive.

This is where you come in. The role of Head of Economic Development is lead professional advisor to the council and HIP on the delivery of our growth agenda and a key part of the senior management team. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a track record of delivery of developments of scale who can also play a broader role across the organisation and with partners to support the strategic direction of the council.

If you feel you have the determination, experience, skill and passion to deliver, then we would love to hear from you. In the first instance please speak in confidence to Nick Cole, Director, Local Government Search at Veredus for a further comprehensive briefing on 07736 491804.
