In your role as a member of the ILS learning support staff team you will be responsible for supporting students in the Pathway in an educational environment under the guidance of the teaching staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing and recording students’ progress through effective target setting and ensuring that students are able to access the curriculum effectively. You will also be responsible for delivering all aspects of personal care to individual students.
To apply, you should have level 2 numeracy and literacy, or demonstration that you are operating at level 2 in both subjects, a recognised qualification in Care and/or Supporting Teaching and Learning in classroom, or willingness to achieve relevant units within 3 months. You should have experience of working in a flexible and responsive team as well working in a learning environment. You will need to be a team worker, with excellent communication, organisational and planning skills. You should have good IT skills with the ability to lead others and prioritise workloads. It is important to have a positive, proactive, flexible approach to work and a strong commitment to excellence and student success.
