Grade Band 12 scp 40-44, £34,202 - £37,803 per annum + 2 scp for AMHP status - (pay award pending effective 01 October 2018)

37 hours per week - part time may be considered

(1) A vacancy for a Senior Practitioner has arisen in the Mental Health Social Work Team, Shropshire, with its main base at Bridgnorth Mental Health Team base, Bridgnorth Health Centre.

(2) A Vacancy for a Senior Practitioner has arisen in the Mental Health Social Work Team has arisen as a fixed term contract (to be reviewed), at Oswestry Mental Health Team base, Castle View, Oswestry, as part of the Mental Health Social Work Team.

You will be working in a busy team, supervising those who carry full caseloads. You will be working in partnership with others to create best opportunities in localities in Shropshire, enhancing the service already provided with a clear preventative and recovery focus. You will be part of a service which support individuals in the community who are at risk of, or who have a severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.

You will be key to the developments of preventative work; intensive support at critical times for individuals. With clear plans of support with a strengths based focus, you will enable this to be meaningful, proactive and equitable in the challenge of providing support to a large county, mainly rural population.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we continue to develop our service, keeping service users and carers at the core of everything we do. You will be keen to participate in the development of recovery focused interventions as we aim to build community resilience thereby improving outcomes for individuals.

The successful applicant may have the AMHP qualification, or be willing to undertake the relevant training, and regularly participate on the AMHP rota.
