Pastoral Support Assistant (Hednesford Valley High School)
Pastoral Support Assistant x 2 - Permanent Position 37 hours per week. Term Time Only, to start as soon as possible.
Hours of work: Mon, Tues & Thurs 8.30 am to 16.30 pm, Wed 8.30 am to 17.00 pm, Fri 8.30 am to 15.30 pm
Due to the promotion of current staff we have 2 vacancies:-
- One to work in the Emotional Support Unit (ESU)
- One to work in the Behaviour Support Unit (BSU)
These posts require a person to carry out a number of roles throughout the day to support the academic, social and emotional needs and behaviour needs of the students.
The successful person would support students to safely enter the school at 8.30 am and then supervise
Students on the playground. During the school day 8.50 am to 3.00 pm the person will work with students
in a tutor group or in the BSU or ESU and follow through strategies, rewards and consequences.
After school this person would either support after school clubs or provide 1:1 tuition for Literacy and
Numeracy. There may be occasions when this person would be involved in after school detentions and
accompanying staff to transport students home.
