Social Worker - Ref SS41818
This is an exciting time to join Walsall Council’s Adult Social Care service. We have recently appointed a new and forward thinking leadership team that has brought a renewed focus on professional practice development across the workforce, to ensure we promote positive and improved outcomes for all our service users.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team; to help shape and deliver our services, and contribute to the development of a model of best practice for the area.
Social Workers £31288 - £36019 / Senior Practitioners £35093 - £39660
We have recently reviewed our Social Worker pay grades, alongside the career progression and professional development pathways. We now have a number of vacancies for qualified Social Workers; both newly qualified and experienced. We are particularly keen to hear from qualified Approved Mental Health Practitioners and Best Interest Assessors. We have a number of vacancies in our Locality teams and would welcome applications from experienced social workers with an interest and/or experience in integrated working with health and achieving good outcomes.
In return, we offer our commitment to your on-going career development and progression. We will ensure you are given the opportunity to access post-qualifying training and on-going development opportunities. Social Workers wishing to undertake PQ award training will be encouraged and supported to do so, and newly qualified Social Workers will be supported through our newly developed NQSW programme.
Senior Practitioner appointments are also available to those who are qualified as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner or a Best Interest assessor and have the relevant skills and experience to undertake a mentoring role.
Closing date: Sunday 4th November 2018
