South Staffordshire Council is an ambitious and progressive Council looking for a Regeneration Team Manager to help us realise our ambitions and contribute to the delivery of our Council priorities.

As part of the Enterprise & Growth Services Team the position will include:

  • The effective management of the Council’s commercial property portfolio;
  • Delivery of the Council’s Asset Strategy which includes acquisition, redevelopment & disposal of assets;
  • Delivering the Council’s enterprise & economic development functions.

The successful candidate will have excellent (keys skills and required experience):

  • A professional qualification (degree level or above) in a construction/ property related subject & 2 years post-qualification experience in commercial property management,  regeneration or   economic development;
  • Acquired knowledge and experience in dealing with commercial property management in either Local Authority or private practice;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the legislation and case law governing commercial tenancies and other relevant legal requirements;
  • Broad experience in freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals ideally to include property development;
  • Experience in tendering and procuring consultants and of decision making in the role of a major client employing consultants;
  • Experience in monitoring and controlling budgets.
