We are passionate about giving the very best opportunities to all our children. We are looking for an inspiring, creative and confident individual who will champion the needs of our most vulnerable children. Funded from our Pupil Premium allocation, the core purpose of the post is to ensure that every child reaches their potential and that no child, whatever their needs, gets left behind.
You will have experience of supporting children with a range of needs, including behaviour and social and emotional difficulties. Experience of working with children diagnosed with ADHD, PDA, Attachment, Anxiety and ASD conditions will also be valuable. You will be totally dedicated to removing the barriers to learning for the children you will support and will lead a team of dedicated and well trained professionals who have a successful track record of ‘going the extra mile.’
Part of the role will be to lead and co-ordinate key workers who currently support vulnerable children. This will involve close liaison with class teachers and a wide range of professionals involved in meeting the needs of the children and removing any barriers for our most vulnerable pupils. It will also involve supporting families through signposting or leading through the TAC process. It will also involve tracking the emotional well-being progress of children as they continue on their educational journey through the school. Ideally you will have experience of being a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) but training will be given if this has not been completed.
The post offers great scope for creativity. It will be fulfilling but demanding and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following personal qualities and skills that make up our school values:
