7 days left
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is a small Council with big values. We are committed to ensuring our services are delivered to the highest possible standard and we put the customer at the forefront of everything we do. By working for us you will become part of the team and will play your part in serving our community.
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Officer to join our small team and the ideal candidates will be committed to a career in Health and Safety. This role is a career graded one, so whether you are just starting your career, or if you are already part qualified, this may be the role for you to progress further.
The role will be a varied one to include working with service managers to offer advice and guidance on general health and safety, with a specialism in Asbestos Management. As such, you should already be P405 qualified with suitable experience to include carrying out risk assessments and managing a programme of site inspections to comply with Asbestos Management Regulations.
As this is a career graded post the requirement for a NEBOSH general certificate is desirable. What is more important is your commitment to customer service and the development and improvement of services. In return, the Council will support you through your learning and development with those working at the highest level working on development and delivery of relevant training packages and being confident in giving sound advice to service users on complex Health and Safety issues.
Applications are welcome from candidates who may be part qualified and we would therefore ask that you note on your application form which level you are applying for.
As an employer, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council offers a wide range of benefits, including flexible working, Local Government Pension Scheme, generous holiday allowance and childcare vouchers.
This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.
Please note that all applications must be received on an online application form. We do not accept CV's and do not keep CV's on file unless part of an application.
Any communication with you will be via email, so please check your email, including spam/junk folders, and WMJobs account on a regular basis after submitting your application.
