Assistant Team Manager (Solihull MBC employees only)
Hours: 37.0 Hours per Week
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hospital Social Work Team for Assistant Team Manager posts. Currently the team is based at two sites, Heartlands Hospital and Solihull Hospital and the Assistant Team Manager role would involve working in partnership with health professionals as well as social care staff to ensure smooth, timely and safe discharges from the acute setting.
Applicants need to have previous supervisory experience as the role requires direct staff management of both qualified social workers and non qualified social care staff.
The post requires excellent communication and ICT skills, an ability to be flexible and work as part of a busy hospital discharge team.
Previous experience of Hospital Social work is desirable and experience of working with older people who have long term physical and mental health conditions is essential.
The successful applicant would need to be able to participate in a 5 in 7 day working pattern on a rota basis along with the other Assistant Team Managers within the team.
