Are you a talented manager with a commitment to the provision of high quality, financially efficient leisure services?

If so, you are the person we need to manage and develop our portfolio of leisure facilities.  As such, you will be responsible for the consistent delivery of dynamic, financially viable and sustainable services, as well as for the management of our new Business Development team.  This is a key appointment that will be focused on the need to improve all aspects of performance within our centres.

The Borough Council has adopted a Service Improvement Plan for its leisure facilities.  Through a business planning led approach to service development, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of this Plan and for the provision of service programmes that meet the needs of customers and the local community.  As such, you will be an experienced, action focused manager, a leader, a creative thinker, an organiser, a planner and a skilled communicator.  Not so much a “Jack of all trades”, but a master of many!

You will need to be passionate about the effective management of leisure facilities.  In return, North Warwickshire is an appealing rural area, offering a good quality of life and an attractive salary within a small, but high achieving Authority.  Evening and weekend work will be required, as will a current driving licence and regular access to a car for travel in relation to the role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed.  This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions.  An Enhanced Disclosure will be required.

If you are interested in this position and require further information, please contact Simon Powell (Director of Leisure & Community Development) on 01827 719352 or email SimonPowell@NorthWarks.gov.uk.

Application forms can be obtained by telephoning (01827) 715341 (24 hour answer service) or by visiting the Council’s website: www.northwarks.gov.uk/jobs
