Are you looking to advance your career in local government internal auditing and play an important role in a progressive internal audit service within an area possessing stunning countryside and attractive towns and villages?
If so, we’re recruiting an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who can help us to continue providing a superb internal audit service.
You will have excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to work to stringent deadlines and time allocations, whilst producing high quality work and maintaining excellent relations with clients. As Internal Auditor you will have responsibility for your own set of audit assignments, being able to work with minimal supervision.
You will have attained academic qualifications to a high level and have several years’ experience of undertaking reviews or investigations, including writing reports. You must have a good understanding of the modern-day role and operation of internal audit, including knowledge of risk-based auditing and systems-based auditing.
Ideally you will be actively studying for, or have already obtained, either the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification or the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors qualification or a CCAB qualification. As a career-graded post, your starting grade will be based on whether you possess one of the aforementioned qualifications.
In return, you will work in a friendly environment where you will be supported fully in your role, with the ability to gain experience and develop your skills. You will be given the opportunity to obtain one of the qualifications set out above, should you not already possess them. When obtained, this will enable progression to the next grade.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Richard Barr, Audit and Risk Manager, by telephone on 01926 456815 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing Date: 31 October 2018
