Summerhill Academy is part of the Summer Park Multi Academy Trust along with Jubilee Park Academy and Little Treasures Children Centre. It has state of the art technology, making them schools for the 21st century.
Governors and the Senior Leadership Team are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our committed and dedicated team. They should be proactive, show initiative at all times and have a firm but fair approach. They should have the welfare and safety of our children at heart at all times.

The successful candidate will have the desire to work with children and subsequently provide a high level of care for all of our children. You will take responsibility for ensuring the pupils’ welfare, safety and supervision at all times under the direction of the class teacher. The post could involve providing general classroom support in KS1 or KS2 as well as delivering interventions to small groups of pupils.
The person appointed will have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering basic first aid, if required (training will be provided).

Although in the main the successful applicant will be based at Summerhill Academy you may be required to work across both academies should the need arise.

32.5 hours per week term time, fixed term contract to cover maternity leave
Band B, Scp 9 £16,755 – Scp 13 £17,391 (Pro rata) A Living wage supplement is paid up to £8.75p/h
