Safeguarding Assistant (Kemball School)
Salary pro rata to 32.5 hours per week term time only
We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding Assistant who will work alongside staff to identify and support the needs of vulnerable pupils and their families. The successful candidate must:
- have extensive experience of working effectively with the parents/carers of children/young people
- experience of working in a multi-agency environment
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of local safeguarding arrangements and how to deal with issues at all levels of need
- be familiar with supporting children with disabilities and their families.
You will maintain a case load of referrals, reviewing progress and providing feedback to the Safeguarding team, in addition to supporting families in a home/school link role.
Candidates must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills at GCSE grades C or above.
Kemball School is a day special school for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years of age with cognitive and learning difficulties (pmld, sld, & mld some of whom have complex medical/physical needs). The school has a happy atmosphere and is welcoming and friendly. The current number on roll is 206.
