EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS

Staffordshire is a varied county with mixed urban and rural catchments allowing the creative and innovative application of a range of psychology.  Staffordshire EPS is a forward thinking service that values wellbeing and creative change. Our four district teams come together frequently to share interests and new psychological thinking.

Staffordshire Educational Psychology Service is highly valued within the authority and offers a mixed model of traded and centrally commissioned work including collaborative consultation, assessment, intervention, multi-agency and strategic/ development work.

We have a generous CPD programme with 3 service days and 9 days to be used flexibly as professional interests allow and we have a protected system of peer-supervision that complements regular supervision within teams. We are looking for psychologists who are innovative, collaborative and have children and young people’s needs at the centre of their practice.

We have a generous annual leave allocation (up to 33 days) and a flexi-time system allowing  flexible start and finish times and working from home. We provide a laptop, smart phone and administrative support for all EPs, and are one of only a handful of services that retain an essential car user allowance.

We are looking for five permanent, full-time main-grade Educational Psychologists.

The posts involve working with schools, Early Years settings and FE providers as well as contributing to team life and service developments.

All applicants must be HCPC registered as an Educational Psychologist, or due to complete their training at the end of this academic year. Applicants completing Year 2 trainees will also be considered for trainee EP posts.

There are two vacancies within the Stafford and South Staffordshire district, 2 in Newcastle and Moorlands; and 1 in the Lichfield and Cannock district.

Staffordshire is also seeking EPs to work on short-term or sessional contracts.
