WES Education Finance is a Finance Management Support Service that offers a range of finance support packages and training to Schools and academies across Warwickshire and neighbouring authorities. We have an excellent service that is well respected by our customers and we are looking for a Trainee Finance Officer to join the team and to contribute toward the excellent business support service delivered daily.

The Role

To provide a business support service to schools and academies in the day to day operation of their financial systems, including delivering termly finance visits, covering for absence and long term sickness, supporting Finance Officers in preparing files before a visit, helping schools to set up correct financial procedures, providing a telephone support service to schools on queries regarding their finance systems and to process invoices onto the Corporate Finance System.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role it is important that you are self motivated, flexible and can cope well under pressure. It is important that you have strong communication skills and the ability to develop and build relationships both with the schools & academies that you support, and also your peers. You will need to be a quick learner and learn a variety of systems to enable you to be effective in your role. We are a fully traded service so it is important to understand the significance of customer relationships and business opportunities as they arise.
