Worcestershire County Council's Libraries and Learning Department is already providing a good service for over 3000 adult Worcestershire residents each and every academic year. But with you on our team we could become OUTSTANDING! This advert seeks applications from committed, clever, creative teachers, tutors or trainers to deliver any subjects which might encourage adults to return to learning! Learning is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing and we are committed to providing opportunities for the residents of Worcestershire to engage in some self-care by learning something new. We are looking for arts and craft specialist tutors, yoga and fitness tutors for adults and children, ICT tutors and alternative therapies tutors as well as politics and philosophy tutors, ESOL tutors, Mindfulness practitioners and Family Learning Tutors - we need you on our tutor pool. If you would like to become part of our vibrant team, leading learning in community settings including libraries, voluntary sector venues, schools, children's centres and community centres then please apply.
The team is currently expanding in order to enhance our delivery model in line with changing customer demands. Our tutors will be facilitating a mixture of class-based activity, individualised contact to meet learners' needs and the development of online materials to support some distance learning as and when necessary and some classes will be for the parent and their child to learn together.
Applicants are required to have a formal teaching qualification (BEd / PGCE / Level 3 Award in Education & Training) in addition to their subject specialist teaching qualification and demonstrable expertise in their chosen field. If you are successful with your application you will be registered in our Libraries and Learning staff pool as an Adult Tutor on a zero-hours contract and will teach adults from 19+ years of age. This rewarding work could fit around a full time job if you are willing to work evenings or weekends.
