Forest School Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
The governors of Netherton CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is committed and has the dedication to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups and support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils. Including the provision of detailed and specialist skills/knowledge in particular areas. Work as a team with the Forest School Leader and be able to enjoy all aspects of the outdoors.
A committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide more specific support and work under the supervision and guidance of a Forest School Leader. The basic entry requirement is NVQ 2 and staff who are not already qualified are required to work towards it. Also be willing to carryout/undertake the Forest School Assistant training.
The successful candidate will be required to work in all weathers and seasons except high winds and where a risk of lightning strikes are present. This will be assessed by the forest school leader.
The role will also involve working with children from Reception to Year 6. An understanding and caring nature is essential.
Working individually will also be required as part of this role.
Shortlisting will be carried out on the 18th October 2018 with interview being scheduled for the 23rd October 2018.
Closing date: 17th October 2018.
