Dealing with customers and stakeholders, you will help to collect more than £400 million of Council revenue.
• You will help the Council to achieve its collection targets and maximise resources to fund the vital services for local residents.
• You will instigate robust debt recovery practices whilst being sensitive to the needs of our vulnerable residents.
You will have:
• Excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills.
• You will be target driven and capable of managing your own workload and conflicting priorities.
• You’ll have the confidence to deal with a range of different customers and make appropriate recovery decisions based on the current circumstances of each case.
The Councils Revenues Department collects more than £400 million in corporate revenue- combining; Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates, fees and charges.
The department is target driven to maximise the collection of Council income so that we can provide vital services to the people of Coventry.
Based in our brand new headquarters at Friargate, you will form part of a dynamic and motivated team of Enforcement officers.
You will be responsible for attending the Magistrates Court on a weekly basis to interview customers and supporting our Court officers at committal hearings.
