We are currently looking to appoint a Team Manager to our Fostering Team, here at Solihull Council. In Solihull, we have high aspirations for our looked after children and aim to be the best corporate parents that we can be. Our Team Manager for Fostering is important in making these aspirations a reality.
As Team Manager for the Fostering Service, you will be responsible for leading and managing the service, including recruiting and retaining great foster carers. Constantly seeking out ways in which we can improve and increase the range and availability of placement options, you will ensure our resources are being used efficiently and that our staff are being developed to their full capabilities. You will be welcomed into an established management team where we will work together to achieve the best outcomes for children and their families and carers.
To be successful in this important role, you will be an HCPC registered Social Worker with substantial experience in Children’s Social Work Services. Able to effectively engage and build relationships with a range of partners, including foster carers, you will be able to influence an environment which supports excellent practice. However it is your management experience and skill that will set you apart. Already an accomplished leader, you will be able to demonstrate confidence and a positive approach to managing risk, budgets and resources.
Within this supportive council, we’re committed to ensuring every child grows up in a safe and stable environment, going on to fulfil their adult potential. If you share this ethos and are ready to make an active difference to the wellbeing of these children and their carers, then we want to hear from you.
