A role where you can make a real difference to a child’s life and one where you are based at home? Then become a Staffordshire Foster Carer.
All our children are different; different ages, genders, ethnicities and personalities. But they all have one thing in common. They need stability, consistency and a loving family environment so they can develop and grow.
Right now in Staffordshire we need more foster carers for children of all ages but we have a particular need for carers for older children and sibling groups. Could you be who we are looking for?
• You need to live in Staffordshire
• Have at least one spare room
• You need to be 21 or over but there is no upper age limit
• You need to be willing to undertake training and transport children
As a foster carer with Staffordshire County Council you'll give a local child a stable home for one weekend a month, on a short-term basis or more long term - fostering with us is flexible.
In return, you'll receive outstanding practical and social support and training to help your foster child to flourish and reach their potential.
To become a foster care you will have a medical check, a DBS check, training and a full assessment.
It is a job that is hard work at times but it also offers many rewards and importantly helps change the lives of Staffordshire children.
