King Edward VI Sheldon Heath Academy is a successful, vibrant, popular Academy serving its local community. We have a superb modern building and facilities, an extremely committed and hardworking staff group and highly motivated young people, it is a great place to be.

We are looking to appoint a Facilities Assistant to join our facilities team to cover the weekday evening leisure. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all visitors that come to use our facilities out of Academy hours, meeting visitors and ensure that the facilities are ready to use, dealing with queries as they arise. During any downtime you may be require to undertake general maintenance of the site.

Previous experience of working in a customer facing role and being first aid qualified, or willing to train, are essential. As is having the ability to use your own initiative, solving problems quickly and efficiently as this role involves working on a standalone basis. Ideally you will also have experience of being a key holder and of undertaking general maintenance tasks.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role
