The Governors are looking to appoint a GR3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and highly motivated staff team.

We are looking for a member of staff who is able to work on their own initiative and has:

- a minimum of 5 GCSE A – C’s including English and maths

- an excellent knowledge of phonics

- a solid understanding of the Letters and Sounds programme of study

- knowledge of the standardised government assessment for Speech & Language

- experience of working with children in EYFS and KS1

- experience of teaching and planning interventions

- experience of assessing children’s progress

- a proven track record of raising attainment

- willingness to continue their own professional development

A willingness to be involved in the life of the school and develop good relationships with parents and their children is essential for this Level 3 position. This role will also include supporting children over the lunch time period.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The successful candidates will be expected to be flexible over their working timetable and have a genuine desire to assist in children’s emotional development.
