TurnAround Fostering is an opportunity for you to support a young person in a time of crisis.
Fostering Payments: £477.61 per week plus daily allowance
Turnaround Fostering is our same day placement service where you will provide short term emergency care for a child or young person for up to 72 working hours.
Turnaround Fostering has been established to allow time for professionals across the fostering service, to explore longer term options for children and young people, complete assessments and plan accordingly for their next steps.
We are looking for experienced professional who have developed their skills and knowledge base working with vulnerable young people, such as youth workers, police officers, youth offending workers, teachers, social workers, previous or current foster carers or care workers.
You will need to have a spare bedroom and be available to offer a placement for ANY child or young person aged 5 -15 yrs. You also need to have no other children under 18 living in the household
As a TurnAround Foster Carer you will need to dedicate your skills to the full time care of a young person and so we do ask for you not to be in employment. You will also need to be available for 6 weeks at a time and operate on a 2 week on 1 week off rota.
• You need to live in Staffordshire
• Have at least one spare room
• You need to be 21 or over but there is no upper age limit
• You need to be willing to undertake training and transport children
To become a TurnAround Foster Carer you will have a medical check, a DBS check, training and a full assessment.
It is a job that is hard work at times but it also offers many rewards and importantly helps change the lives of Staffordshire children.
