Special Educational Needs/Complex Needs Teacher - The Westminster School
Can you inspire our pupils and young adults to reach for the stars?
Can you make a difference to the lives of our Special Needs/Complex Needs pupils and young adults?
The Westminster School is looking to appoint an inspirational and creative teacher to join our Outstanding Special School (OFSTED November 2017). The school’s innovative practices put it at the forefront of learning and teaching throughout the West Midlands.
The school caters for 190 pupils aged 7 -19 years with a wide range of special Educational Needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities.
Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 and our more complex needs pupils follow a primary class-based model. Teachers are responsible for one class of pupils, grouped on their needs and abilities and teach across the curriculum. The school’s innovative Personal Development Curriculum Model to cater for complex needs puts pupils first to prepare them for life.
All pupils are supported to reach their full potential with a level of independence, confidence and resilience according to their special need in order that they have the ability to face the challenges of adult life.
Applicants must provide evidence of QTS qualification at interview. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept QTLS qualifications.
