Part-Time Foundations to Employment Co-Ordinator

Salary:  £30,756.00 - £35,229.00 per annum (pro rata)

18.5 Hours per week –Fixed Term until for 12 months

This is an opportunity to join an experienced and supportive Central Throughcare Team based in Stafford.

The team works with older Looked After Children and young people who are leaving or who have left care. The age range of the children and young people who receive a service is 13-25 years.

Throughcare Teams  provide the following services:

  • Social Work Case Management of older Looked After Children
  • Direct work with children and young people, their families and carers
  • All aspects of Pathway Planning for young people who are preparing to leave care
  • Advice, support and guidance to young people who have left care
  • Financial support for young people who have left care

This role is to work with older looked after children and care leavers referred from Throughcare Teams throughout Staffordshire who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). To help them to become ‘work ready’ through the delivery of a training programme and supporting them in work placements which is an essential part of the Local Authority’s Foundations to Employment Scheme and will form an important part of the Local Offer for Care Leavers.
