Working from Monday to Friday, you will be involved in the collection, delivery and fitting of specialist equipment and adaptations that help Coventry residents live independently. As a team leader, you will support, motivate and supervise your dedicated team of technicians, ensuring that Service delivery is maximised.

You’ll get real satisfaction from knowing that you are part a unique service doing a role that makes a difference to people’s lives and offers so much more than other jobs.

What you’ll be doing day to day
You’ll be busy! The role is split between supporting and advising your team and driving between our warehouse to customers’ homes to fit equipment. At other times you will be maintaining or refurbishing equipment / stock and undertaking portable appliance testing (commonly known as PAT).

You will need to hold a full driving licence without any driving convictions (other than parking offences or no more than three points for speeding in private time in a private vehicle). You will also need to have practical driving skills and road safety awareness. As the role is that of a Team Leader, you will also need recent supervisory / management experience.

You will need to have the ability to work alone, have a reasonable level of fitness (the job involves manual handling and fitting of equipment) and the ability to complete basic record sheets and paperwork.

With good communication and customer care skills, you will enjoy meeting and assisting people of various ages and disabilities providing a courteous, confidential and sensitive service. Your abilities to work within a busy team and on your own initiative, your flexibility in your approach, and your willingness to assist the wider service as necessary will ensure that you are a valued member of our team.

Don’t worry – if you don’t have any experience in PAT or fitting specialist equipment as full training will be given so you can work safely and effectively.
