Family Support Worker Supervisor

Salary:  £25,463.00 - £29,909.00 per annum (pro rata)

37 Hours per week – Permanent

The Care Planning and Court Team is responsible for planning for the long-term care arrangements for Looked After Children aged 0 – 12 years who are in foster care or subject to court proceedings.

Vacancies have arisen within the service for an exciting new post of Family Support Worker Supervisor  to be based at Tamworth

The role of this post is to supervise (senior) family support workers, whose role is to work closely with looked after children, their carers and family in a variety of tasks including the supervision of contact, direct work with children and completion of life story work. The successful applicant will have a key role in managing staff, allocating work across the family support worker team, maintaining a contact rota and ensuring that good quality life story work is completed in a timely way. You will be line managed by the Team Manager and work closely with the team coordinator. The service has a key role in supporting looked after children and ensuring that they achieve permanency at the earliest opportunity.

The candidate will be expected to be a team player. The ability to engage and communicate with both adults and children is essential and the successful applicant will be committed to ensuring the children on the team receive the best quality service.
