An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Team Manager working within Adult Social Care. This is a fixed term post for 12 months to provide a cover for long term leave.

 

An Assistant Team Managers to support a large team of social workers and other experienced, professional staff in a field work capacity. The postholder will work to support the activities in the community team, have a working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 

The post holder will:-

Manage and develop staff skills and practice on a day-to-day basis. This is a large team comprising social workers and other experienced professional staff who work to provide support to people in the community.

Manage and develop staff through further training e.g. BIA and Practise Educators

Be responsible for the professional supervision of social workers at all levels, and for the supervision of other qualified professional staff.

Have specific additional responsibility for managing newly qualified Social Workers with their comprehensive

Key Requirements

  • You must have significant experience of working with colleagues within Health and Social Care services, supporting staff including all professional Social Care staff and Clinical staff with advice and guidance.
  • You must be able to respond to difficult situations when working under pressure and make appropriate decisions and be able to deal with other people facing difficult situations at times of crisis.
  • You must have an awareness of CQC fundamental standards and guidelines.
  • You will be able to work in a constructive way managing projects and implementing systems, with performance measures to assess the projects, and meet targets.
