We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead Development Surveyor / Manager to join our Strategic Land & Property Division, leading in the delivery and implementation of major property development projects in accordance with the UK Central agenda for growth and providing support to the Head of Strategic Land & Property.

As Lead Development Surveyor / Manager you will:

• Directly manage the delivery of major property development projects dealing with all elements of planning and implementation

• Procure and manage consultants and contractors to support project delivery, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and the UK Central Agenda for growth

• Maintain budgetary oversight for project spend, providing support and intelligence to influence future resources and budget requirements

• Prepare estimates and reports for property development schemes including preparing detailed valuations and carrying out high value feasibility exercises

• Provide detailed advice on options based on knowledge and market evidence.

You will have:

• A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline e.g. Surveying or ability to demonstrate through extended experience the ability to carry out the full range of duties.

• Professional Membership of appropriate body e.g. RICS (preferably with registered valuer status)

• Significant post qualification experience in the delivery of property development projects

• A demonstrable track record of managing strategic property development projects from inception through to completion

• A track record of successfully negotiating development and disposal contracts with developers and promoting complex public/private partnerships
