Assist  ICT Technicians in providing technical support 
to users;
  Work  through  a  regular  updated  list  of  ICT  issues 
reported by users on the IT  helpdesk  to ensure all 
requests logged are dealt with appropriately and in 
a timely manner;
  Help  produce  ICT  documentation  such  as  user 
guides and checklists;
  Assist ICT Technicians  in the administration of staff 
and  pupils  joining,  leaving  or  moving  within  the 
school  ensuring  all  users  have  access  to  ICT 
resources  by  setting  up  new  user  accounts  and 
passwords and email groups;
  Play an active role in the development of the service 
delivered by the ICT team;
  Assist  ICT  Technicians  in  providing  help  and 
guidance to pupils on an individual or  group basis 
within ICT lessons;
  Assist ICT Technicians when they work  with pupils 
to promote safe use of ICT equipment and sites at 
school and at home;
  Be  aware  of  and  follow  all  school  policies  and 
procedures, in particular policies related
to the use of ICT equipment and sites;
  Assist  ICT staff  with workshops, training and clubs 
to promote the use of ICT
  Assist  with  the  maintenance  and  development  of 
school’s ICT networks;
  Assist with the resolution of ICT faults;
  Assist  with  maintaining  an  adequate  supply  of 
consumables and replaces as necessary;
  Assist  in  connecting  and  setting  up  and  checking
PC’s and peripherals for normal operation
  Ensure basic safety checks are carried out;
  Perform basic routines for checking status of both 
PC suites and individual computers;
  Comply  with  all  relevant  school  policies  and 
legislation, maintaining appropriate records; 
  Assist  with  the  install  of  new  software,  and 
documenting its use on the hardware database;
  Maintain  the  school  domain,  adding  and  deleting 
staff and pupils as they join or leave the School;
  Undergo any training linked to the development of 
ICT and disseminate the training to others.
  Help  identify  personal  training  needs  required  to 
help implement school priorities and enhance 
  own job performance;
  Undertake  any  other  appropriate  and  reasonable 
duties that may be required at  the request of the 
Headteacher;
  Follow the school’s procedures for health & safety
