Due to promotion of previous post-holders we are currently looking to recruit a full-time Change Manager, to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team to help to focus on the ongoing transformation of Coventry City Council. This important and high profile role involves supporting the delivery of large scale change, working closely with colleagues to deliver a coherent programme to improve quality and outcomes as well as address financial challenges.

We know that people are the key to achieving sustained change and so we are looking for candidates with a clear focus on people to complement our highly motivated team.

The team supports a variety of key transformation programmes that the successful candidate may be required to support. The emphasis will be to support people through a change process and promote a culture where the customer is at the heart of everything that we do. As a council we will continue to undergo significant change at a high pace so we are looking for someone with a level of personal resilience in a high paced environment.

This Role works as part of a team to ensure that the Transformation function delivers the organisational vision for service delivery.

The Change Manager role is required to define, co-ordinate and deliver specific projects in order to improve the performance and quality of the service we deliver.

A bit about us…

The Transformation and Major Projects team sits within Customer Services and Transformation at the heart of the Council. We work with services across the organisation to drive large scale change and establish best practice. The Council’s Transformation Programme is overseen and supported by our Corporate Leadership Team.

We manage projects and programmes end to end to improve outcomes for local people whilst making the best use if the resources we have available. We work in flexible ways, focusing on the best way to achieve the desired outcomes. We are document light; have recently trained as a team in the APM methodology; and are keen to embrace new ideas and approaches.
