Financial Operations Support Assistant

We are looking for a Financial Operations Support Assistant to collect information required to assess our clients charges for Adult Social Care Services. You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills to be our bridge of communication for internal and external clients by phone and email. The role will give you a great exposure to work with our clients and managing their invoice queries or disputes, undertaking financial assessments and resolve any queries which arise on Financial Assessment forms with the Care Manager, relatives or service user as necessary.
The role involves recording financial assessment information in to the Adult Social Care computer system ‘Caredirector’ and notifying clients of charges for residential care, home care packages and Housing with Care. You will provide information and be the ‘Go to’ for advice about how charges are calculated in line with Department of Health's Care and Statutory Support guidance, as well as the City Council's non-residential charging policy.
You will have:
* Knowledge of welfare benefits such as Pension Credit
* An Awareness and understanding of Equal Opportunities
* An awareness of financial assessment procedures
* An understanding of Department of Work and Pensions benefits
* Knowledge of importance of confidentiality
* Experience of working with the public in a financial capacity within an office environment
Working Pattern - Full Time 37 hours per week
