Fleet and Workshop Team Leader – Environmental Services

SCP 39 – SCP 43 per annum, (£35,229 to £39,002)

 

Plus a £3k Market Forces Supplement

 

37 hours per week

 

We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified Fleet and Workshop Team Leader to oversee the fleet and workshops of both Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council.

 

The successful candidate will manage a small team, who are responsible for both Council’s day to day transport provision and the operational management of our in-house vehicle workshops and MOT test stations. The post-holder responsibilities encompass all aspects of holding the two Operator Licences ensuring compliance and Health & Safety management.

 

You will need good IT skills, be well organised, a good communicator and be customer focused. You will have an understanding of finance, ordering and invoicing together with the ability to meet budgets and produce reports and business cases. This will include vehicle and equipment procurement.

 

Experience in managing the commercial fleet of a Local Authority or similar organisation is essential.

 

You will be a CPC holder for our heavy goods vehicle operations, have MOT test station management experience and ideally have a relevant qualification in Health & Safety.
