Housing Needs Officer
6 Months Fixed Term Contract
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Options Service as a Housing Needs Officer within the Temporary Accommodation Finance Team.
The role involves carrying out a variety of tasks to assist the Service perform its statutory duty to provide Temporary Accommodation and maximising income.
You will be responsible for assisting with the collection of rent and former arrears, helping with benefit claims, making payment arrangements, and implementing rent escalation procedures and invoicing.
You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with numbers and preferably knowledge and/or experience of benefits and rent collection. An awareness of homeless legislation would be an advantage.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken
