Level 1 Instructor - Frank Chapman
Sandwell Residential Educational Service is recruiting an Instructor Level 1 (initially fixed term until October 2019) SRES 3-5 £18,560 - £20,492 at The Frank Chapman Outdoor Education Centre in Bewdley, Worcestershire.
The centre, founded in 1928, is part of the Sandwell Residential Education Service (SRES) which is a group of 4 centres across the Midlands and North Wales. We are an AHOEC Gold Standard centre, situated in 90 acres of SSSI oak forest working with our sister centres in Edgmond Hall, Ingestre Hall and Plas Gwynant to provide for the needs of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and others.
The post requires:
Higher/Further Education qualification or equivalent 1 year work experience in Outdoor Learning/Education and two of the following qualifications are essential:
- CWA or higher
- WGL or higher (6 months)
- GNAS Archery Leader (Level 1 Coach in Archery)
- IOL Foundation Bushcraft (1 Year)
- APIOL (1 Year)
- MTB (Level 1)
An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.
Desirable qualifications are:
Forest School/Environmental Management or other such equivalent qualifications.
