CSW Resilience Support Officer
37.0 Hours per Week
The CSW Resilience team has an exciting opportunity to join us to help make Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire safer and prepared for emergencies whenever they occur.
The Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW) Resilience Team is a highly regarded shared service across the three authorities, working in both West Midlands and Warwickshire Police force areas. We are responsible for delivering the entire resilience programme for the three Local Authorities (and other partners) and work with our Local Resilience Forum partners to ensure an efficient and effective internal and external multi-agency response.
As the Support Officer you will be a member of a busy dedicated team and play a crucial role in providing support to a range of activities to ensure we are able to respond to emergencies whenever they occur. You will also actively promote awareness of each council’s civil contingency arrangements to ensure ownership.
Already possessing a Level 3 or equivalent qualification, this role will suit you if you have recently qualified in Civil Contingencies/ Emergency Planning or that you are an experienced administrator with an interest in emergency planning/business continuity and wish to move into the profession.
You will be an enthusiastic individual who can work flexibly. You must be able to remain calm under pressure, and be organised to meet deadlines. Multi-Agency working is at the heart of what we do, therefore you must possess effective communication skills to engage with and support partners appropriately.
Whilst you will not be part of the 24/7 emergency response for the authorities you will be expected to support officers at all levels during incidents and operate independently.
