Nether Stowe School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative part time English Teacher to be a key part of our important team. If you feel that you have the energy, drive and enthusiasm to be part of our growing, thriving and popular school, we look forward to hearing from you.

The successful applicant will be expected to teach across the whole-ability range up to GCSE and, potentially, A Level. They will join an excellent and welcoming faculty and a school thoroughly committed to professional development.

Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and those who are newly qualified. Although the exact proportion of teaching and allocated days are open to discussion and negotiation, we would look to appoint on a minimum commitment of 0.4.

Most importantly, we are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm who is able to communicate clearly, is sensitive to the needs of young adults and has the ability to use initiative and vision to encourage others. We expect the person to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.

Details and application forms are available on the school web site www.netherstowe.com, where you can also review a copy of our prospectus.

Closing date: November 23rd 2018

Interviews will be held shortly after.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Further details regarding this check are available from school or by visiting www.crb.gov.uk.
