Electoral Services Officer
An opportunity has arisen in our Electoral Services team for a part time Electoral Services Officer. You will ensure the effective supervision and operation of the Electoral Services section, particularly in relation to the requirements of Individual Electoral Registration (IER) together with the planning and conduct of all elections and referenda.
Responsibilities of the post include assisting with the day to day operational requirements of IER, assisting with the administration of all elections, referendums and parish polls, supervising and coordinating the work of the team, monitoring new legislation, etc., in relation to the work of the team and assisting with consultation exercises in respect of ward and boundary reviews.
You will have good experience in dealing with electoral registration and elections, plus have good experience of Local Government processes and systems. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, both with minimum supervision and as part of a team. Membership of the Association of Electoral Administrators would be an advantage.
