An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Financial Management Unit as an AAT Apprentice, with the opportunity to study towards a nationally recognised qualification

An Apprenticeship position has become available within East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Financial Management Unit giving the ideal candidate the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Accounting Technician qualification and obtaining practical experience alongside those studies.

We are looking for committed and ambitious individuals to provide financial and administrative support. This is an excellent development opportunity where you will have the opportunity to study towards level 2 of the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification whilst gaining valuable experience in a real accounting environment.

Should you perform, both at work and in your studies, there is the opportunity to progress onto the next level of the qualification and continue your employment and studies at the Council.

We are looking for candidates who display:

• excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail

• strong communication and organisational skills

• experience in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

• the ability to work as part of a team

• commitment to further develop through training (both internal and external)

It is essential that you have the following minimum qualifications: 5 GCSEs at grades A-C incl. Maths and English Language
