17.5 hours per week, 8.30am-12pm

As HLTA Nurture Practitioner you will support the Inclusion Manager and Deputy Head to develop an effective nurture provision to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced and support pupils across the school who experience a range of needs and challenges (social, emotional and behavioural) to achieve their full potential. You will provide support to pupils through a carefully structured timetable which balances learning, affection and discipline within a caring atmosphere.

John Gulson Primary School is a large and popular Primary School near the centre of Coventry. The school serves a vibrant, wide ranging multi-cultural community. The appointed person will be part of a dedicated team that is working on building on our current success and move towards outstanding.

We are looking for a qualified HLTA that has experience of:

• planning and working as part of a team
• teaching small groups in a primary school
• supporting children with social and emotional difficulties
• working with children with SEND
• working within a nurture provision (is desirable).
