Salary: £22,937 to £26,577 per annum
Roshni offers safe, temporary accommodation along with a range of community based support services to South Asian women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to manage our domestic abuse services within Birmingham to oversee refuge provision, floating support and outreach services. Applicants must have a commitment to equality and diversity and speak at least one South Asian language.
This role requires an ability to manage and monitor the teams’ deadlines and responsibilities, motivate team members and delegate effectively whilst also managing their own client case-load.
You will provide emotional and practical support to women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence and abuse. You will have experience of working on a front line service undertaking risk assessments, liaising with various agencies enabling clients to reach informed decisions about their future.
You must be well organised and have a professional and flexible approach to your work along with a calm and reassuring manner. It is essential that you have worked in a people setting in a specialist, social care or similar environment. Relevant qualifications such as IDVA or Freedom Programme Facilitator would be an advantage.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with the post holder participating in an out of hour’s on-call service. There is an expectation that the post holder will be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends.
